Drills
Each year, the Interboro Mutual Aid Group holds six mutual aid drills.  At least three Interboro towns must participate in each drill.  The host town may opt to include more towns.  Host towns need to provide the Drill Committee with at least 10 days notice of each planned drill.

Drill Schedule

March 2008 - was hosted by Bergenfield.  The topic was FAST and RIT operations and was held at the Bergenfield Fire Training Center on Sunday morning, March 30, 2008. New Milford FD also attended.  There was a simulated roof collapse set up in the second floor.  The FAST team had to extricate two downed firefighters.  Aside from being an extremely realistic exercise that taxed the particiapants, valuable lessons were learned that reinforced existing practices and identified areas for improvement of existing operations.

April 27, 2008 - was hosted by Demarest.  Chief Bob Moran of Englewood FD and Lt. John Lewis of Passaic FD gave a class on basement fires.

May 18, 2008 - Was hosted by the Rockleigh FD.  Participating towns included Northvale, Norwood, Alpine, Closter and Sparkill, NY.  Northvale EMS also participated.

June 2008 - was hosted by the Northvale FD.

September 2008 - this month's drill is scheduled to be hosted by the Harrington Park FD.  Due to the Wildwood convention, the HPFD has requested that the drill be postponed until October 23.  Further details are forthcoming

October 2008 - this month's drill will be hosted by the Tenafly FD.  This will be an open lecture on lightweight building construction.  The indoor lecture will take place on Tuesday October 21 starting at 7:30 p.m.
